WA Business Development Engineer / Manager Perth, WA | Civil Division | Car Allowance + Laptop + Mobile Phone Drive Growth on Some of Australia's Most Complex Bridge & Infrastructure Projects Freyssinet Australia is seeking an experienced Business Development Engineer / Manager to identify, develop and secure major opportunities across Western Australia. This is a unique opportunity for a technically capable engineer with solid commercial acumen to grow our Civil business by building client relationships, identifying project opportunities and developing winning tender strategies. Working closely with our Civil leadership team, you will play a key role in expanding Freyssinet's presence across the WA infrastructure market, with a particular focus on bridges, transport infrastructure and innovative construction methodologies.

About the Role
As the WA Business Development Engineer / Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Developing and maintaining the WA Civil business development plan and opportunity pipeline.
• Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across Western Australia.
• Monitoring project pipelines, tender portals and market intelligence to identify opportunities early and understand client procurement pathways.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, asset owners and key decision-makers.
• Qualifying and prioritising opportunities based on strategic fit and likelihood of success.
• Developing pursuit and bid strategies to secure profitable work.
• Supporting tender submissions and estimating activities.
• Undertaking preliminary cost studies and feasibility assessments using first-principles estimating.
• Assessing commercial risks, project margins and delivery considerations.
• Leading client engagement and negotiations through tender and award stages.
• Representing Freyssinet at client meetings,



industry events and project briefings.
• Collaborating with technical and operational teams to develop innovative project solutions.
• Supporting the handover of secured projects to Operations.
• Travelling throughout WA, including regional areas and the Pilbara, for client meetings, site visits and tender inspections. To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Minimum 5 years' experience in civil infrastructure, bridge construction, business development, estimating or project engineering.
• Sound understanding of the WA civil infrastructure market and the ability to work autonomously.
• Strong commercial awareness, including estimating, margins, contract risk and project delivery considerations.
• Ability to analyse market opportunities, competitor activity and client procurement pathways.
• Experience preparing preliminary cost studies using first-principles estimating.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (preferred). Highly Desirable Experience Bridge & Infrastructure Delivery
• Bridge construction experience.
• Major transport infrastructure experience.
• Exposure to modern bridge construction methodologies, including:
• Incremental Launching
• Precast Segmental Bridge Construction
• Balanced Cantilever Construction
