The Opportunity Dominican School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced OSHC 2nd in Charge to support the leadership and daily operations of our growing Out of School Hours Care and Vacation Care service. Working alongside the OSHC Director, you will help create a secure, engaging and high‑quality program while supporting a committed team of educators. This role is ideal for a qualified OSHC professional ready to step into leadership within a service grounded in Catholic values, community partnership and the National Quality Framework.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership of the OSHC and Vacation Care service, ensuring all legislative and regulatory requirements are met.
• Support the OSHC Director with the daily management, planning and programming of the service.
• Assist with the development, delivery and review of engaging OSHC and Vacation Care programs that support children’s interests, wellbeing and development.
• Undertake administrative and financial responsibilities, including Child Care Subsidy processes, online bookings and accurate record keeping.
• Foster positive and respectful relationships with families, educators and relevant support professionals.
• Actively participate in team meetings, performance conversations and other operational requirements of the service About You You are an experienced OSHC or Vacation Care educator with a passion for creating safe, inclusive and engaging environments for children. You bring strong leadership capability, excellent communication skills and the confidence to guide a team with professionalism and care. You thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrate sound judgement, and can calmly lead during escalated or emergency situations. You will also bring:
• An ACECQA‑approved Tier 1 qualification suitable for a qualified educator role.




• Demonstrated experience supervising staff and coordinating programs in an OSHC or similar setting.
• Strong organisational, administrative and time‑management skills.
• Experience designing and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs.
• Confidence in managing financial and administrative processes.
• High levels of initiative, discretion and problem‑solving capability.
• Competence with digital systems and record‑keeping.
• A commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of Dominican School.
• Required certifications including WWCC, RRHAN‑EC, First Aid, National Mandatory Child Safety Training and compliance with CESA policies
