Torquay Hotel Chef de Partie is responsible to perform general and specialised cooking, butchering duties and supervise and trains other cooks and kitchen employees Benefits Being part of an award-winning hospitality group we can offer: Attractive Salary & Incentives The potential for career development Remuneration: $78,000 - $86,000 plus Superannuation per annum Task & responsibilities Performing general or specialized cooking, butchering, baking or pastry cooking duties Monitoring and maintaining food quality throughout preparation, cooking and presentation Supervising and training other cooks and kitchen employees and managing the development of apprentice cooks Performing specialized cooking duties Maintaining a clean and sanitized workstation Following kitchen standard operating procedures Supervising of cooks of a lower grade Training cooks of a lower grade Ensuring staffs are performing to standard operating procedures and if not,



escalate to the responsible manager Actively providing the suggestions to the responsible manager Following company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times Reporting any unsafe practices or situations to the manager on duty immediately Adhering to all company policies and procedures at all times Qualification & experience You have a culinary qualification of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality You have 1+ year of experience in a similar role Demonstrated ability to multi-task Experience supervising staff Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced setting Is punctual and able to follow instructions Enjoys working as part of a team Can communicate clearly Shares a passion for the hospitality industry About Company Torquay Hotel is part of three local hotels owned by the ‘Taylor Group’ thus providing an opportunity to work and progress your career across venues and kitchens including the Barwon Heads Hotel and Grovedale Hotel in Victoria.
