Assistant Accountant role | Brisbane CBD | $85,000 - $90,000 + Super

Your current companyThis successful Australian-based company that operates in a lucrative industry is seeking a driven and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their high-performing finance team on a full-time permanent basis. This position will be based in their Brisbane CBD offices, which are in a prime location, close to various Eagle Street lunchtime dining selections and various public transport options.
Your new roleWorking in a small and stable finance team, this role will be reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:

- Daily bank reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- General ledger reconciliations
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS
- Calculating payroll tax, PAYG & superannuation
- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable processing
- Assisting with FBT returns
- Assisting with fixed asset maintenance

What you’ll need to succeedIn order to be successful,



you will meet the following requirements:

- Completed Degree in Accounting
- Ideally, you have commenced your CPA / CA studies
- Month end accounting experience
- Strong systems and Excel skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail

***Unfortunately, this role will not suit a graduate with no experience. Experience in month-end accounting is essential***
