Adelaide | Immediate Start | 3-Month Contract + Potential Extension

This South Australian Government organisation is seeking an experienced PMO Manager / Program Manager to provide senior-level project governance, assurance and PMO support across its project and program environment. This is an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of extension, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced PMO skilled to make an immediate impact.
Your new role:
Working at an ASO7 equivalent level, you will support the development and improvement of project management capability, governance and reporting across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Implementing and improving project management frameworks
- Developing project management tools, guidelines, processes and templates
- Undertaking project assurance activities and phase gate reviews
- Providing expert advice and guidance on project management practices
- Delivering project management training and capability uplift
- Producing project, portfolio and financial reporting
- Supporting governance, consistency and best-practice project delivery
- Working closely with project and program stakeholders across the organisation

What you'll need to succeed:
To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:





- 5+ years' experience as a PMO Manager, Program Manager or in a similar senior project governance position
- Previous experience working within a PMO environment, ideally within government
- Demonstrated experience implementing project management frameworks
- Experience developing project management processes, tools, templates and guidelines
- Experience undertaking project assurance and phase gate reviews
- Strong project and financial reporting capabilities
- The ability to provide expert project management advice and training
- Robust stakeholder engagement, communication and governance skills

Qualifications or certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, P3O, project management, portfolio management or PMO disciplines will be highly regarded.
What you'll get in return:
You'll secure an immediate-start, 3-month contract with potential extension, working at an ASO7 equivalent level within a government environment. The approximate candidate hourly rate is $100 to $110 per hour, dependent on experience and suitability.
