About the Team

Reporting to the Team Lead – Paint and Liners, you will be part of the greater Surface Technology team working alongside six Painter’s and Trades Assistant’s. This team forms part of the RDA Production team which includes the Weld Shop, Prototype Shop, Assembly teams and Armour Shop.

About the Role

As part of the RDA Surface Technology Team; the Liner Bonder is responsible for the preparation and adhesive bonding/sealing of ballistic protection liner to armoured vehicles and components to the Adhesive Bonding Standard TLA 0023.

As a Liner Bonder, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

- Surface preparation and adhesive bonding of liner to the Mission Module;
- Assisting EBE’s with process compliance (material, work area and tooling management, process/quality control);
- Surface preparation/pre-treatment of armour steel assemblies prior to surface coatings;
- Responsible for management of Lining Booth work areas and tooling – ensuring compliance;
- Support European Bonding Engineer (EBE) with process start up and ongoing continuous improvement activities; and
- Other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with your manager from time to time.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

- Experience working in a process environment in a production, manufacturing or construction environment;
- Good mechanical aptitude;




- Fast learner and the ability and willingness to understand new concepts;
- Sound computer skills – Microsoft Office skills and general data entry programs; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
