At Diraq, we are engineering a path to millions of qubits on a single chip using silicon CMOS. Join our theory team to build the simulations that help us understand, design and scale a fault-tolerant quantum computer.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of quantum physics, modelling and experimental insight. You will partner closely with measurement and engineering teams to turn complex spin-qubit behaviour into practical understanding and improved simulation capability.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or doctorate in physics, electrical engineering or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience modelling spin systems and simulating their dynamics.
- Working knowledge of master-equation formalisms, open quantum systems and relevant numerical methods.
- Solid scientific programming skills, particularly in Python.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working on open-ended research problems across physics and engineering.
Good to have
- Experience simulating spin qubits, including electron shuttling or other time-dependent control and transport problems.
- Experience working directly with experimental teams and interpreting real device data.
- Knowledge of solid-state physics, electronic structure, noise characterisation or related quantum-information topics.
- Experience developing reliable, maintainable scientific software or simulation infrastructure.
