Toddler Room Leader | Chipmunks in the Hills

Can you turn a cardboard box into an adventure, support a toddler through big feelings and inspire a team along the way?

We’re looking for a caring, creative Toddler Room Leader to lead our Little Explorers room, supporting children aged 2–3 years.

Toddlers are curious, capable and wonderfully determined. We’re seeking someone who understands their world and can create a space where they feel secure, connected and ready to explore.

Your days will include:

- Building trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Creating engaging play experiences that follow children’s interests and extend their learning.
- Supporting communication, independence, friendships and emotional regulation.
- Leading your team with clear communication, encouragement and practical guidance.
- Developing a meaningful program, documenting learning and reflecting on practice.
- Embedding active supervision, child safety and inclusive practices throughout the day.

We’d love to meet someone who brings:





- An ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher relevant qualification.
- A current Working with Children Check.
- Relevant first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training.
- Sound knowledge of the EYLF and NQS.
- Experience supporting toddlers and the confidence to guide a room team.
- A warm approach, an inclusive mindset and a sense of humour for the wonderfully unpredictable moments.
