Port Augusta Hospital in South Australia is seeking a Registered Midwife to join its maternity team on a contract basis, commencing approximately 20 November 2026. Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA




- FSEP Level 2 certification as a minimum requirement
- Demonstrated competence in midwifery assessment, care planning, and clinical decision-making
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to woman-centred care and culturally sensitive practice

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Dual registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (desirable but not essential)
- Post-graduate midwifery qualifications or evidence of ongoing professional development
