South East Regional Hospital in NSW is seeking a Registered Midwife to join its Maternity team on a six-week contract from 9 November to 21 December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work across the full spectrum of maternity care—antenatal, postnatal, and labour ward—in a busy regional hospital setting. The role offers hands-on clinical experience in a supportive environment where your expertise will directly impact the care of mothers and newborns.

Preferred Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in antenatal care,



including assessment and monitoring of pregnant women
- Solid postnatal ward experience with knowledge of postpartum recovery, infant care, and breastfeeding support
- Competence in labour ward practice, including labour support and intrapartum care
- Proficiency in cannulation and venepuncture
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical setting

Preferred Qualifications

- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Current CPR and first aid certification
