Role Description The Casual Home and Garden Maintenance Worker role is responsible for providing safe, reliable home and garden upkeep for clients in the Greater Adelaide Area. This in office role involves tasks such as lawn mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, basic garden clean-ups, and general outdoor maintenance to ensure clients’ homes remain safe, tidy, and accessible.

Day-to-day duties may include minor repairs, rubbish removal, clearing pathways,



and supporting clients with seasonal maintenance needs in line with service plans. Workers follow agreed schedules, adhere to safety guidelines, and maintain clear, respectful communication with clients and coordinators. As a casual team member, you may work flexible hours based on client demand and service requirements.

Qualifications

- Practical home and garden maintenance skills, including lawn care, basic pruning, weeding, and general outdoor upkeep.
- Basic handyman abilities for minor, non-technical repairs and safe use of common tools and equipment.
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices, including risk identification and safe manual handling.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and reliably complete tasks within agreed timeframes.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transport to attend client sites across the Greater Adelaide Area.
- Willingness to undergo relevant background checks (e.g., working with children, disability, or aged care clearances) as required.
- Previous experience in gardening, property maintenance, or a similar support role in community or residential settings is highly regarded.
