This role offers the opportunity to work on modern cloud-native applications that support critical services across Queensland while leveraging contemporary AWS technologies and engineering practices.
Your recent roleAs a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting scalable cloud-native solutions across front-end, back-end and cloud infrastructure layers. Working within an agile delivery environment, you will contribute to the development of secure, event-driven applications and modern integration solutions built on AWS.Key responsibilities will include:Developing modern web applications using React and Type Script Designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices Building cloud-native applications within AWS environments Implementing event-driven and API-led integration solutions Developing Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDKDesigning and supporting relational and NoSQL database solutions Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and Dev Ops practices Supporting application monitoring, observability and operational excellence Participating in architecture discussions, code reviews and technical design workshops Producing technical documentation and knowledge transfer material
What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Front-End Development Strong commercial experience with React and Type Script Advanced Java Script development skills Experience with modern CSS frameworks and component libraries Experience building complex business workflow applications Strong understanding of responsive user interface design Backend & Integration Extensive experience developing RESTful APIs within AWS environments Experience with OpenAPI and contract-first API development Experience developing microservices and distributed systems Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC and JWT authentication frameworks Backend development experience using PythonAWS Cloud Technologies Strong hands-on experience with:AWS Lambda Amazon API Gateway Amazon Event Bridge Amazon SQS & SNSAmazon S3Amazon DynamoDBAmazon Aurora PostgreSQL (RDS)AWS IAMAWS Secrets ManagerAWS Systems Manager Parameter Store Amazon Cloud Watch You will also have experience delivering: Serverless architectures Event-driven solutionsAWS networking and VPC integrations Secure service-to-service communications DevOps & EngineeringAWS CDK Infrastructure as Code GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling Git version control Automated testing and quality engineering practices Security scanning and Dev SecOps principles Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities Highly regardedAWS Certifications (Developer Associate or above)Experience with observability, monitoring and distributed tracing Experience designing highly available and resilient cloud-native platforms Previous government or large enterprise experience
