2-Year Secondment | Supply Chain Projects | Melbourne Your Impact As Future Operations Strategy Lead, you’ll help turn our manufacturing optimisation strategy into practical, sustainable ways of working. You’ll connect strategic decisions with what they mean on the ground across our people, processes, systems, data, assets, capabilities and ways of working. This is an exciting 2-year secondment opportunity within our Supply Chain Projects team, playing a key role in shaping how our manufacturing operations evolve for the future. Working across Manufacturing, Supply Chain and our enabling functions, you’ll bring together different perspectives to ensure future operating models are practical, well-planned and ready to transition successfully into BAU.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate manufacturing and supply chain strategy into clear future operating models, requirements and transition plans.
• Shape future ways of working across manufacturing, planning, logistics, quality, safety, maintenance, engineering and enabling functions.
• Develop practical readiness frameworks across people, processes, technology, data, assets, capability and governance.
• Assess future manufacturing scenarios, identifying operational impacts, dependencies, risks and capability requirements.
• Design transition approaches that protect business continuity while enabling new ways of working.
• Define future workforce, capability and training needs, partnering with People & Communications, Change and operational leaders.
• Build alignment across a broad stakeholder group, connecting strategic, technical, operational and people considerations.
• Establish clear ownership and handover into BAU, supporting sustainable performance and continuous improvement.
• Provide leaders with a clear view of operational readiness,
key decisions, risks and dependencies. About You You’re someone who can see the big picture while understanding what it takes to make change work in a complex operational environment. You’re comfortable bringing different teams together, working through ambiguity and turning strategic direction into practical plans. You’ll ideally bring:
• Experience across manufacturing, supply chain, transformation, operational readiness or major change.
• An understanding of how manufacturing operations come together across people, process, systems, assets and performance.
• Experience translating strategic decisions into practical implementation or transition plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess operational scenarios, risks and dependencies.
• Confidence facilitating conversations and influencing stakeholders across different functions and levels.
• An ability to connect operational, technical and people considerations to support effective decision-making.
• A collaborative approach and an interest in building sustainable improvements rather than short-term solutions.
• Relevant qualifications in business, supply chain, engineering, operations or a related discipline would be advantageous, but are not essential where you bring robust relevant experience. Why Asahi Beverages At Asahi Beverages, we're passionate about crafting more than just drinks
