Sleepscope, part of Scope Healthcare, provides specialist sleep and respiratory consultations and diagnostics across Melbourne, including home-based sleep studies and lung function testing. We work alongside Heartscope, our sister cardiology service, within an established network of specialists, scientists and dedicated support teams. As our services and team continue to expand, we're welcoming consulting sleep and respiratory physicians to join Sleepscope, with patient flow, clinical infrastructure and administrative support already in place. The work is adult outpatient consulting in sleep and respiratory medicine, with the ongoing care of your patients that follows from it.
• FRACP with Advanced Training in respiratory medicine and sleep medicine, or an overseas specialist qualification assessed as comparable by the RACP.
• Specialist registration in respiratory and sleep medicine with the Medical Board of Australia through AHPRA, in place before commencement.
• Experience managing adult sleep and respiratory patients independently, including assessment, treatment planning and follow-up across a broad outpatient caseload.
• Clear communication with patients, referring GPs and other treating clinicians.
• Sound clinical judgement and reliable follow-through, including timely correspondence and continuity of care.
• Eligibility for a Medicare provider number as a consultant physician in respiratory and sleep medicine, and current skilled indemnity cover. We welcome physicians with a broad sleep and respiratory practice and those with particular clinical interests they'd like to develop through their consultations, such as sleep apnoea, insomnia, asthma, COPD or interstitial lung disease.
• Established patient flow.



Consult within an existing sleep and respiratory network with patient flow and referral relationships in place, so your sessions fill from the start.
• Practice support. Rooms, equipment, reception and scheduling are in place and run by our administrative team.
• Investigations close to your patients. Home-based sleep studies and lung function testing, from spirometry and FeNO to lung volumes and gas transfer, are done in our own clinics across Melbourne, so your patients can be tested at a location near them, with the results coming straight back to you. You can also refer patients for echocardiography and other cardiac tests through Heartscope, and for X-ray and CT through Scope Radiology.
• Marketing and referrer outreach. Our marketing team promotes

your profile
and builds relationships with GPs and other referring clinicians.
• Flexible sessions and locations. Choose from clinics across Melbourne and sessions that fit your other commitments, from a few extra sessions to a full week.
• Compensation for an agreed practice transition. If you're considering moving an established consulting practice to Sleepscope, we can negotiate a transition package that includes compensation. Our team can also support continuity of care for patients who choose to continue seeing you at Sleepscope.
• Remuneration and benefits. Clinic locations, sessions and commercial terms are discussed individually, taking your clinical interests, existing practice and availability into account. There are also other discounts and offers available at a range of retailers, venues and services.
