We're looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our People, Safety & Culture team in Kilburn, SA. This part-time role is approximately 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hours that suit school drop-off and pick-up. Our payroll system (Access Definitiv) is largely automated, but sound, fundamental payroll knowledge is essential to keep it running accurately and compliantly and to complete required reconciliations. You'll be well supported by an experienced People, Safety & Culture team. We're also recruiting a part-time HR Officer, and both are genuine, ongoing positions in their own right. For the right person, we can combine the two into a full-time Payroll & HR Officer role. Each option is scoped on its own, and our People, Safety & Culture team can adjust around whichever structure works for the right candidates. Your recent role: Reporting to the People, Safety & Culture Manager, you'll support approximately 350 employees nationally by:
• Processing weekly and monthly payroll for employees and labour hire contractors across Australia
• Acting as the main point of contact for payroll-related matters
• Coordinating labour hire placements, including onboarding and offboarding
• Reconciling superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, WorkCover and end-of-month processes
• Maintaining payroll master files and ensuring payroll system integrity
• Supporting financial year-end requirements and ensuring legislative compliance You will bring:
• Demonstrated experience in a comparable payroll position
• Sound knowledge of Australian payroll processes, including Fair Work legislation,



tax and superannuation
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
• A high level of accuracy in data entry, attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously Why join us?
