About the Role
The Portable Rental Bonds Officer is a critical operational role required to support the successful administration, governance and continuous improvement of the Portable Rental Bonds Scheme (PRBS), which commenced on 1 July 2026. The role provides dedicated operational capability to ensure the scheme is delivered efficiently, consistently and in accordance with legislative, policy and governance requirements. Reporting to the Manager, Portable Rental Bonds Scheme, the position serves as the primary operational coordination and support function for the scheme, providing specialist expertise across case management, scheme monitoring, reporting, stakeholder engagement, debt management administration, assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives. The role is also a key liaison between RTBA Operations, Customer Care, Digital Services and external service providers,

ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and opportunities for service enhancement are identified and implemented. The position is essential to sustaining business-as-usual operations and supporting the ongoing maturity of the scheme. Without dedicated operational resources, accountability for scheme administration, reporting, customer escalations, process improvement and governance activities would be fragmented across existing teams, creating risks to service delivery, customer outcomes, compliance and operational efficiency. Desirable Requirements
• Experience in a regulatory, statutory authority, financial services or public sector setting.
• Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (Vic), the Residential Tenancies Bond Authority, or comparable legislative and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience supporting the administration of customer transactions, debt management, or similar schemes.
• Experience analysing operational performance data and preparing reports, dashboards or performance metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement. This role is an ongoing position. This position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia. For more information, please see the Position Description
