We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Senior Stylist / Qualified Hairdresser to join our friendly, professional team in Cairns.

Our salon specialises in curly hair while offering all aspects of professional hairdressing, including cutting, colouring, styling and treatments.

We are passionate about delivering exceptional client service, ongoing education and working with premium haircare products.

Key Responsibilities

- Consult with clients to understand their haircare needs, preferences and desired styles.
- Provide professional hair cutting, trimming, styling and blow-drying services for a variety of hair types.
- Perform colouring services, including permanent and semi-permanent colouring, foiling, highlighting and toning.
- Assess clients' hair and scalp conditions and recommend suitable treatments and haircare products.
- Provide professional advice on hair maintenance, styling techniques and aftercare.
- Deliver specialised styling and haircare services for curly and textured hair.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic salon environment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to provide an excellent client experience.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants should have:

- A Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent relevant qualification.
- At least 2 years of relevant qualified hairdressing experience.





· Previous experience working with curly or textured hair will be highly regarded.

- Demonstrated competence in cutting, colouring, foiling, highlighting and styling.
- Strong consultation, customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for hairdressing.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a professional salon team.
- A willingness to learn and develop specialised curly hair cutting and styling techniques.

- A permanent, full-time position working 38 hours per week.
- Generous remuneration in the vicinity of $60,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience.
