About the Role:

Looking for a neonatal nursing or midwifery role that offers genuine autonomy, leadership opportunities, and the chance to influence service delivery?

Join the Special Care Nursery (SCN) team at North Canberra Hospital as an RN/Midwife Level 2 and play a pivotal role in delivering specialised neonatal care to newborns and their families. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical care to neonates requiring specialised monitoring and intervention while making a meaningful difference to outcomes for babies and families across the ACT and surrounding region.

As a senior clinician, you will utilise your advanced assessment, critical thinking,

and decision-making skills in a dynamic environment where leadership and clinical expertise are highly valued. You will play a key role in recognising and responding to neonatal deterioration, coordinating multidisciplinary care, supporting complex clinical decision-making, and mentoring staff.

Beyond direct patient care, you will contribute to quality improvement, education, and service development initiatives, helping to shape and strengthen neonatal services while promoting excellence, safety, and family-centred care. This is an exciting opportunity to combine advanced neonatal practice with leadership and service influence in a highly regarded specialist team.
