About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, organised and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our team on a temporary 6-month basis.

The role will primarily involve front-desk reception duties, answering incoming telephone calls and assisting with general reception and administrative tasks.

We use Xestro practice management software, so experience with Xestro would be an advantage, although training can be provided.

Key Responsibilities

- Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
- Managing patient enquiries
- Greeting patients and providing friendly customer service
- General reception and administrative duties
- Using Xestro practice management software
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the front desk

About You

- Ideally, 1–2 years' experience in a medical reception role
- Experience with Xestro software would be an advantage
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Friendly, professional and well-presented
- Organised,



reliable and able to work independently
- Previous medical reception experience is preferred, although we are happy to consider someone relatively new to the industry with the right attitude.

Remuneration

Hourly rates will be based on experience and applicable award requirements:

- $32 per hour + superannuation for a candidate with approximately 1–2 years' medical reception experience.
- Approximately $30 per hour + superannuation for a more junior or entry-level candidate.
- Rates are intended for general telephone and reception duties and will be subject to the applicable award classification and minimum entitlements.
