About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join TLC Indoor Gardens Pty Ltd as a Horticulture Apprenticeship, Cert 3, Parks and Gardens at our Campbelltown, NSW location. This is a full-time position that offers you the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in all aspects of horticulture, plant care, landscape design and garden maintenance. This apprenticeship is designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in the gardening and landscaping industry whilst you work towards your Certificate III qualification. You will be mentored by experienced professionals who are passionate about sharing their expertise and helping you develop into a skilled horticulturist. This role is critical to supporting our business operations and contributes directly to delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with the design, installation and maintenance of indoor and outdoor gardens for commercial properties

- Perform general garden maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, weeding, watering, mulching and pest management

- Learn to identify and care for a diverse range of plants, trees,



shrubs and flowers in various growing conditions

- Operate and maintain garden tools and equipment safely and responsibly

- Support the preparation of garden beds and planting areas according to specifications and design plans

- Participate in landscaping projects, including soil preparation, paving and hardscaping work

- Maintain detailed records of plant care, maintenance schedules and client requirements

- Communicate professionally with clients and team members to understand requirements and deliver quality outcomes

- Complete ongoing training and coursework required for the Certificate III qualification in Parks and Gardens

- Contribute to maintaining a safe and tidy work environment on all job sites

What we're looking for

- A genuine passion for plants, gardening and the outdoors

- Enthusiasm to learn new skills and willingness to undertake formal horticultural training leading to Certificate III qualification

- Strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting, bending and working in various weather conditions

- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

- Basic computer and tablet skills to complete maintenance logs and record keeping





- A current or willingness to obtain a driver's licence (desirable)

- Previous experience in horticulture, gardening or landscaping is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided

- A commitment to health and safety practices and environmentally responsible gardening methods
