Shine Panels Pty Ltd trading as Shine Motors is an automotive repair business specialising in vehicle repairs and associated automotive services. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Assembler / Vehicle Accessory Fitter to join our workshop team.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for removing, fitting, assembling and reassembling vehicle components as part of the vehicle repair process. You will work closely with panel beaters, spray painters and other automotive technicians to ensure vehicles are repaired and returned to customers to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove and refit vehicle components during the repair process.
- Assemble and reassemble vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures.
- Fit, adjust and align vehicle panels, bumpers, headlights, tail lights, trims, mirrors, mouldings and accessories.
- Remove and install interior components, including seats, carpets, headlining and interior trim.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, air tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed work to ensure components are correctly fitted, aligned and fully operational.
- Conduct functional checks and testing following vehicle reassembly.
- Identify and report damaged, missing or incorrectly fitted components.
- Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with panel beaters, spray painters and automotive technicians to ensure efficient workflow and quality repairs.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in automotive assembly, vehicle fitting or smash repair operations.
- Knowledge of vehicle components, fitting procedures and repair processes.
- Ability to remove and refit vehicle components accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
