Venue Manager | The Lookout Echo Point

Trippas White Group (TWG) is looking for an experienced and motivated Venue Manager to lead the team at The Lookout Echo Point, one of Australia's most iconic hospitality destinations, overlooking the spectacular Jamison valley, walking distance to the Three Sisters in the heart of the Blue Mountains.

With a unique location attracting local visitors, domestic travellers and international tourists, The Lookout offers a dynamic hospitality environment combining café, restaurant and functions operations. We are looking for a strong hospitality leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, developing people and driving operational performance.

About the Role

As Venue Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall day-to-day operation of The Lookout, ensuring the venue operates efficiently, commercially and consistently delivers high standards of food, beverage and customer service. You will lead, develop and motivate the team, oversee service standards, manage operational costs and work closely with the wider TWG management team to achieve business objectives. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who leads by example, enjoys being on the floor and can confidently manage a busy hospitality operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of the venue, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Lead, motivate and develop the front-of-house team.
- Maintain exceptional customer service and presentation standards.
- Ensure consistent delivery of food and beverage quality.
- Manage rosters, labour costs and staffing requirements.




- Monitor financial performance, budgets and operational KPIs.
- Control stock, ordering, wastage and operational expenses.
- Manage customer feedback and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, RSA and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Build a positive team culture based on accountability, teamwork and professional standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure strong communication and coordination.
- Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and the local community.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue and improve the overall guest experience.

About You

We are looking for an experienced hospitality professional who has:

- Previous experience as a Venue Manager, Restaurant Manager or Operations Manager.
- Strong experience managing restaurants, cafés or multi-faceted hospitality operations.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong financial understanding, including P&L; management, labour and cost control.
- Experience managing rosters, recruitment, training and performance.
- The ability to work under pressure and make sound operational decisions.




- Excellent personal presentation and a qualified approach.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and hands-on management style.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in tourism, high-volume hospitality, cafés, restaurants and events will be highly regarded.

Availability

The Lookout operates seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays.

The successful candidate must be flexible and available to work across:

- Weekdays and weekends.
- Public holidays.
- Day and evening shifts, as required.
- Peak tourism periods and busy trading periods.
