About the role

Orange City Bowling Club LTD is seeking a Duty Manager to join our team on a casual basis. This is a key operational role based in Orange, NSW 2800, where you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent service delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. As Duty Manager, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our members and guests whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate club operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery

- Manage member and guest interactions, addressing enquiries and resolving concerns in a professional and courteous manner

- Oversee bar and gaming operations, ensuring compliance with licensing laws and responsible conduct of gaming, something we take seriously.

- Manage employees during assigned shifts and monitor their performance and provide guidance to ensure high standards of customer service with maintaining adherence to their roster.

- Maintain security and safety protocols, and conducting regular premises checks

- Handle cash including clearance, the daily reconciliation of Gaming TAB and Keno

- Manage event bookings and ensure events run smoothly according to member requirements

- Report on operational issues and maintain accurate records of incidents and daily activities

- Ensure the club is clean, well-maintained and stocked with necessary supplies

- Respond to emergency situations and coordinate appropriate responses

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in Pub or club operations, with a minimum of 2-3 years working in various roles

- Strong knowledge of RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) and current certification





- Strong knowledge of ARCG (Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gaming) and current certification

- Experience with gaming and liquor licensing compliance, including the Incident Registers

- Proven ability to handle conflict resolution and complaints professionally

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Cash handling and cash reconciliation skills

- Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and club management software (preferred)

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Problem-solving ability and sound judgement in high-pressure situations
