We are expanding our Japanese-inspired menu and looking for two passionate team members to join our kitchen family:

1. Senior Cook / Junior Head Chef

About the Role:

Beyond standard service, you will partner directly with management to innovate and execute Japanese-inspired menu concepts, optimize kitchen workflows, and maintain dish quality across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

- Menu Innovation: Collaborate with management on developing, testing, and introducing new Japanese-influenced cafe items suitable for quick, high-volume service.

- Kitchen Operations: Oversee meal preparation, plate presentation, and line speed during peak trade.

- Inventory & Safety: Assist with stock takes, waste reduction, supplier orders, and strict adherence to food safety standards.

- Team Mentorship:



Lead by example and help train junior kitchen staff on proper technique and recipe standards.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2–3 years in a commercial kitchen role (cafe, fusion, or Japanese dining experience highly regarded).

- Sound understanding of Japanese flavor profiles, ingredients, and presentation styles (e.g., sando, bento formats, matcha integration, comfort dishes).

- Ability to design dishes that are both creative and operationally easy for high-volume cafe service.

- Strong work ethic, reliable, and available on weekends.

1. Casual Cook

About the Role:

Support daily line service and prep, work closely with our Senior Cook, and help build a seamless, welcoming kitchen workflow.

Requirements:

- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced cafe or restaurant kitchen.

- Good foundational knife skills, prep speed, and attention to dish presentation.

- Solid grasp of basic kitchen hygiene and safety practices.

- Positive attitude, eager to learn, and reliable on busy trading days/weekends.
