Family Lawyer (2–6 Years PAE) – Gold Coast | Hybrid
The role
A small, well-regarded family law practice on the Gold Coast is looking for a capable lawyer to join its team.
You’ll carry a diverse caseload of your own, working closely with an experienced and approachable Principal. You’ll also guide and support a Junior Lawyer, which makes this a natural next step if you want to start building leadership experience while staying hands-on with your own files.
Your practice will include
- Parenting matters
- Property settlements
- Domestic and family violence matters
- Court work, including appearances
- Negotiation, mediation and dispute resolution
- Drafting court documents, correspondence and agreements
- Running matters end to end, from first advice to resolution

About you
- 2–6 years’ PAE in family law, with a current Queensland practising certificate
- Confident running your own files and appearing in court
- Organised, calm under pressure, and practical in your advice
- Empathetic with clients going through a hard time
- Keen to help a junior colleague develop
