GC Professional Support Services (GCPSS) is seeking a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Casual Disability Support Worker to join our team on the Gold Coast.
We are a small, committed team that takes pride in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with disabilities. We believe exceptional support goes beyond completing daily tasks. It is about building meaningful relationships, encouraging independence, promoting dignity and helping our participants enjoy fulfilling lives.
About the Role
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing support within our Supported Independent Living (SIL) residence.
- Assisting participants with daily living activities and personal care.
- Supporting community access, recreational activities and social outings.
- Transporting and accompanying participants to medical appointments and other commitments.
- Assisting with meal preparation, household duties and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
- Supporting participants to develop independence and achieve personal goals.
- Completing accurate shift notes and maintaining qualified communication with management and colleagues.
- Providing medication assistance or administration where appropriately trained and authorised.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold the following:
- Certificate III in Disability (mandatory).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Legal right to work in Australia.
- Willingness to complete required NDIS training and induction.
Previous experience in Supported Independent Living and community access will be highly regarded.
