$105,000–$150,000 Total Remuneration Package (FTE)
Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time | Nowra, Gerringong, Dapto or Shellharbour
A psychology role that works for you
At Pace Psychology Service, we're building the kind of workplace where psychologists can genuinely enjoy their work, feel supported and have a life outside the therapy room.
We're a growing, independent psychology practice supporting children, adolescents, adults and families across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven.
We believe great psychological care comes from clinicians who feel valued, trusted and equipped to do their best work. That means reasonable workloads, meaningful professional support and the freedom to develop your own clinical interests.
We're looking for a Registered or Clinical Psychologist to join our team, and we'd love to shape the position around the right person.
The things that matter
Pay and professional development
We offer a competitive, fixed salary with a total remuneration package valued at $105,000–$150,000 per annum (FTE), depending on qualifications and experience, inclusive of superannuation and funded professional benefits.
You'll also receive:
- Paid clinical supervision and a dedicated professional development allowance.
- Paid three-hour fortnightly team meetings for case consultation, collaboration and qualified learning.
- Access to training, assessment materials and therapeutic resources.
- The security of permanent employment, including applicable leave entitlements.
Hours and flexibility
We believe work-life balance should be something you actually experience.
- Choose your preferred working days and hours, with full-time and part-time opportunities available.
- Work from Nowra, Gerringong, Dapto or Shellharbour, depending on your preference and practice availability.
- See a minimum of four and maximum of six clients per working day.
- Enjoy protected administration time for notes, preparation and other clinical responsibilities.
- Work with genuine clinical autonomy, without unnecessary micromanagement.
We want you to finish your working day feeling that you've done good work,
not that you have another evening of administration ahead of you.
The work itself
We believe psychologists should spend their time doing work they find meaningful.
Tell us what you enjoy, what you're particularly good at and what you'd like to develop further. We'll actively tailor our referral pathways and advertising to help build a caseload that reflects your interests.
Our services support a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, emotional regulation, parenting challenges and psychological assessment.
We're particularly looking for someone who is confident and comfortable working with children and families, although your caseload can include adolescents and adults.
You don't need to be an expert in everything. We're interested in your strengths, clinical interests and the contribution you'd like to make.
Support without micromanagement
You'll have a high level of independence in your clinical work, but you won't be working in isolation.
We're a welcoming, collaborative team that enjoys sharing ideas, discussing challenging cases and learning from one another.
Our fortnightly paid team meetings provide dedicated time to connect, reflect and develop professionally. Supervision and additional support are available, and we encourage a culture where asking questions and seeking guidance are seen as strengths.
You'll have the autonomy to make your own clinical decisions, with a supportive team behind you when you need one.
Make the space your own
We want our psychologists to have a workspace that reflects how they practise.
Your therapy room can be personalised around your preferences and therapeutic approach, whether that's play-based therapy, psychological assessment,
working with adolescents or adult-focused intervention.
We provide equipment, assessment tools and therapeutic resources, including opportunities to work with innovative technologies. We're also happy to invest in additional clinically appropriate resources and training that support your interests.
As Pace continues to grow, you'll have opportunities to contribute ideas, develop therapeutic groups or programs and help shape new services.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds general registration with AHPRA as a psychologist, with or without clinical endorsement.
- Is willing and competent to work with children and families.
- Is warm, approachable and committed to building genuine therapeutic relationships.
- Values thoughtful, ethical and evidence-based psychological care.
- Can work independently while enjoying collaboration with colleagues.
- Is curious, reflective and interested in ongoing professional growth.
Experienced psychologists are welcome, but so are newly registered psychologists who are enthusiastic, capable and keen to develop their skills.
A little about us
Pace Psychology Service is a growing psychology practice across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven.
We're passionate about providing practical, compassionate and evidence-based psychological care, but we're equally committed to creating a workplace where psychologists feel respected and supported.
We don't believe every psychologist needs to work the same way or have the same interests. We value individuality, creativity and professional judgement.
We're not looking for someone to simply fill an appointment book. We're looking for another valued member of our team.
Interested?
If you're looking for a role where you can enjoy genuine flexibility, professional autonomy and the security of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply with your CV and a brief introduction telling us about your clinical interests, preferred location and ideal working arrangements.
Confidential enquiries are always welcome.
