We’re partnering with an established accommodation business seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager to expand its property portfolio across Newcastle and the Hunter.

The chance suits someone who can see the potential in a property, understand an owner’s priorities and present a compelling case for a different approach to generating income.

The role
Your focus will be securing recent properties under management and developing relationships that create repeat business.
You’ll spend your time meeting prospective clients, developing referral channels and progressing opportunities from first conversation through to signed agreement. An experienced operations team will support the delivery once new properties come on board.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Connecting with property owners and investors to explore their accommodation options.
- Building referral relationships with agents, developers and other local contacts.
- Assessing prospective properties and preparing income proposals using market insights.
- Presenting management services, addressing questions and negotiating agreements.
- Developing a consistent pipeline through prospecting, networking and referrals.
- Coordinating the handover of new clients to the operations team.

Who would suit this:

You may already be winning new business in real estate, property management, accommodation or a related service industry. Alternatively, you could bring a strong record in relationship sales and the ability to quickly understand a new market.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Can demonstrate success generating leads and converting opportunities.
- Builds credibility through clear communication and reliable follow-through.
- Is comfortable discussing commercial outcomes and negotiating terms.
- Enjoys working independently and stays organised without close supervision.
- Uses CRM systems confidently and maintains an accurate sales pipeline.
- Holds a current driver’s licence and has a reliable vehicle.
- Connections across Newcastle and the Hunter would be valuable, particularly within property or accommodation.
