About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, maintaining high food quality standards and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present meals in accordance with the restaurant's menu and quality standards.
- Plan menus and assist with developing new dishes and seasonal specials.
- Monitor food preparation, portion control and presentation.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards are maintained.
- Monitor stock levels and order kitchen supplies when required.
- Minimise food wastage and maintain appropriate food storage procedures.




- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during service.
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
- Ensure all meals are prepared and served within appropriate timeframes.

Skills and Qualifications

- Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working as a Chef in a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Passion for preparing high-quality food.
