Estimator – Façade and Building Envelope

Location: South Sydney (Green Square) | Full Time Office Based

About the Company:

Empire facades is a reputable and financially stable façade contractor based in South Sydney, known for delivering high-quality façade projects across the commercial, luxury retail, and infrastructure sectors.

We have been around for 21 years (With the same ABN Number) and have constructed the facade envelope to some of the countries most notable buildings.

With a strong pipeline of upcoming work and a collaborative team culture, We are now seeking a motivated Estimator to join our pre-contracts team.

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an estimator looking to work in a well-structured and supportive environment. Working closely with the Senior Estimator and Project Managers, you’ll assist in the preparation of accurate tenders and cost plans across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for facade and building envelope projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and ensure competitive tendering.
- Support in the preparation of BOQs, cost breakdowns, and budgets.
- Participate in tender reviews, handovers, and project kick-off meetings.
- Maintain and update cost databases and supplier records.
- Regular monitoring of tenders in/out.

About You:

- Must have permanent residency or citizenship in Australia and be based in the Greater Sydney Metro area
- Have a background in estimating, particularly carpentry, fit-out,



manufacturing or site based trades (Not just windows).
- Have a can-do attitude and want to be a key part of the company culture.
- Be confident in picking up the phone and building relationships with suppliers and external clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & Powerpoint; exposure to estimating software (such as Bluebeam) is advantageous although not compulsory.
- Experience in utilising AI or Coding would be looked favorably upon but not essential.
- Willingness to adopt new processes and software.
- Always looking to find a better way of doing things.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organisational skill.
