Kocoda Stone Pty Ltd is an established stone fabrication and installation company based in Dandenong, Victoria. We specialise in the supply, cutting, fabrication and installation of high-quality natural stone, porcelain and sintered stone products for residential and commercial projects.

Our services include custom kitchen benchtops, splashbacks, waterfall islands, bathroom vanities, laundry benchtops and other architectural stonework. We work closely with homeowners, builders and cabinet makers to deliver precision-crafted stone products that meet our clients' specifications.

Due to our ongoing business operations and growing demand for customised stone fabrication and installation services, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Stonemason to join our professional team on a permanent full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, technical plans, measurements and specifications to determine stone fabrication and installation requirements.
- Measuring, marking and preparing natural stone, porcelain and sintered stone slabs for cutting and fabrication.
- Cutting, shaping, grinding and polishing stone materials using specialised tools, machinery and equipment.
- Operating stone-cutting machinery, including bridge saws, waterjet cutting equipment and other fabrication tools as required.
- Fabricating customised kitchen benchtops, bathroom vanities, splashbacks, waterfall panels and other stone products according to project specifications.




- Creating accurate cut-outs for sinks, cooktops, taps and other fittings.
- Preparing, shaping and finishing stone edges, joints and surfaces to achieve high-quality workmanship.
- Joining, aligning, levelling and securing stone components using appropriate adhesives, sealants and fixing methods.
- Transporting, positioning and installing fabricated stone products at residential and commercial project sites.
- Inspecting completed stonework to ensure dimensional accuracy, structural stability, appropriate finishes and compliance with quality standards.
- Maintaining stone fabrication tools and equipment in safe working condition.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures, including dust suppression, appropriate personal protective equipment and safe manual handling practices.
- Working collaboratively with builders, cabinet makers and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the required standards.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants should possess:

- A relevant trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Stonemasonry, or an equivalent qualification and relevant industry experience.
- A minimum of two years of relevant practical experience in stone fabrication, cutting, polishing and installation.
- Demonstrated experience working with natural stone, porcelain, granite,



marble or similar architectural stone materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements and installation specifications.
- Experience operating stone fabrication machinery and using hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of stone joining, edge finishing, surface polishing and installation techniques.
- Robust attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Sound understanding of Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good communication, time management and problem-solving skills.
