Opportunity: Art Instructor – Contractor Role

8 – 20 hours per week

$32 – $35 per hour

Wednesday – Sunday

Are you a skilled artist who is looking for the perfect part-time role where you get to embrace your creativity? Do you describe yourself as outgoing and love to be in front of a crowd? Then the Champainting team might just be the place for you.

Champainting started the paint and sip industry in Australia over 12 years ago. Our studios are well known for the 5-star experience that our current artists deliver, as we hold a high standard regarding customer service, paintings and attention to detail.

With your application, you must send a minimum of 3 acrylic paintings to be considered for an interview.

What does a typical day look like for our artists at Champainting?

- Guiding up to 30+ guests step-by-step through our paintings and providing them with the best experience possible!
- Ensuring the studio is clean and restocked at the end of each session for the next day.
- Run the occasional Offsite event at different locations in the South East including our exclusive VIP events.

When do you need to work?

- We require applicants to be available Tues – Sunday each week.
- You must be available to work at least two sessions a weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday).
- We receive last-minute bookings, so flexibility with your availability is essential.

- We also require all artists to be available during May/June/July and November/December.

What We’re Looking For

- A strong art background — ideally 4+ years with acrylics and the ability to recreate our paintings.
- Confidence in speaking and entertaining in front of large groups.
- Experience in hospitality, teaching, or customer service (bonus if you’ve worked at a paint-and-sip or similar experience-based venue).
- A natural people-person who can read the room, manage energy levels, and keep the positive vibes flowing.
- Someone who is happy working independently and as part of a creative, fun team.

This role is ideal for an extroverted individual who loves to entertain, socialise, and create a positive atmosphere, and wants to earn extra income doing something fun and meaningful on nights and weekends.
