About the Role:

As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to support the day-to-day operation and performance of the store.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be highly visible on the floor, supporting the team, maintaining strong store standards and stepping up to take ownership when the Store Manager is away.
You’ll play an important role in developing the team and helping create a positive, customer-focused store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the store
- Lead, coach and support a close-knit team of approximately 18 staff
- Drive strong customer service and store presentation standards
- Assist with stock management, merchandising and inventory control
- Support rostering, wage management and overall store performance
- Maintain compliance across food safety, workplace health & safety and company standards




- Take ownership of store operations in the Store Manager’s absence
- Build strong relationships with customers and the local community
- Support the team to achieve sales targets and operational KPIs

About You:

- Previous supermarket, grocery or FMCG retail leadership experience
- Experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or similar would be highly regarded
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on and supportive management style
- Comfortable working closely with your team on the shop floor
- Good understanding of stock control, rostering and store operations
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for customer service
- Looking to continue developing your retail management career
- Full Australian working rights, with no visa sponsorship available
