Our client is a leading national law firm with a substantial Sydney tax practice. Growth in the team has created a permanent opportunity for a Tax Lawyer to work directly alongside the tax partners on complex disputes and controversy matters for a genuinely national client base.

About the role
You will work across the full life cycle of tax disputes, from first contact with the regulator through to hearing.
• Advising clients on complex tax disputes
• Preparing and reviewing objections and private ruling submissions
• Drafting legal opinions, witness statements, evidence and pleadings
• Contributing to dispute resolution and litigation strategy
• Conducting detailed legal research and analysing tax legislation and case law
What you'll bring
• A minimum of 2 years' post admission experience
• Current Australian practising certificate
• Commercial litigation experience will be highly regarded




• Excellent legal research, drafting and analytical skills
• Solid communication and stakeholder management capability
• A strong academic record
