A senior family law role for a lawyer who wants genuinely complex financial work, real ownership of their files and a senior partner who stays close to the practice.

Our client is a specialist family law boutique in the Sydney CBD that works entirely on referral. There is no advertising and no chasing awards; decades of reputation bring in clients whose affairs involve corporate trust structures, superannuation and property portfolios in the hundreds of millions. They are looking for a Senior Family Lawyer with 5+ years' PAE, ideally with a commercial background.

About the Team:

A deliberately small team: a senior partner (Doyles Guided), three solicitors, a paralegal and an experienced legal secretary. No red tape, reward based on individual merit, and a senior partner with a genuinely open door.

Features of the chance:

• Guide salary range: $150,000-$200,000, depending on experience
• Senior carriage of complex property matters involving corporate trust structures, superannuation and estates well in excess of $10 million
• Your own files from day one, with an open-door senior partner
• Admin-heavy tasks (indexing disclosure, briefs, client intake, billing) handled by the paralegal and legal secretary
• Individual performance bonus, LEAP software and a culture that actively manages workload to prevent burnout

The Position

You will run a caseload weighted towards the firm's most complex financial matters, alongside parenting work, including:
• Drafting complex property advices involving corporate trust structures and superannuation
• Working with forensic accountants and specialist tax lawyers on complex financial issues




• Preparing briefs to counsel (including Senior Counsel for substantive hearings) and mediation position papers
• Drafting Applications for Consent Orders, initiating documents and affidavits
• Appearing at directions and procedural hearings
• Working in LEAP for document management and time recording

About You

• 5+ years' PAE, with substantial family law experience
• A commercial background (commercial, corporate or commercial litigation experience) is highly regarded
• Confident with complex financial and corporate structures
• Comfortable running files independently while working collaboratively in a small team
• Based in, or able to work from, the Sydney CBD
