Our client is a growing Sydney CBD commercial law firm looking for commercial litigation and dispute resolution practitioners at Partner or Special Counsel level who want a stronger platform to grow their practice. It suits an established Partner looking for better support and economics, a Special Counsel with a transportable practice, or a senior practitioner ready to lead. Boutique principals and sole practitioners considering a merger or succession are also welcome to make contact.

About the role:
You'll lead and grow a commercial disputes practice, backed by the firm's existing commercial client base and support teams.

• Running commercial disputes from early advice through to hearing, settlement and enforcement
• Acting on contractual, shareholder, partnership and other commercial disputes, including mediations and court proceedings
• Advising clients on strategy, risk and commercial outcomes
• Building and leading a team of lawyers as the practice grows




• Winning new work and cross-referring with the firm's other practice groups

What you'll bring:
• 8+ years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution
• A portable practice or established client following that covers your remuneration (essential)
• Admission in Australia and an unrestricted NSW practising certificate
• A track record of business development and long-term client relationships
• The leadership ability to build and mentor a team
• An entrepreneurial approach and the ambition to grow your practice
