Our client is a growing Sydney CBD commercial law firm looking for property and construction practitioners at Partner or Special Counsel level who want a stronger platform to grow their practice. It suits an established Partner looking for better support and economics, a Special Counsel with a transportable practice, or a senior practitioner ready to lead. Boutique principals and sole practitioners considering a merger or succession are also welcome to make contact.

About the role:
You'll lead and grow a property and construction practice for developers, builders, investors and commercial clients.

• Acting on commercial property acquisitions, sales and leasing
• Advising on property development, including off-the-plan and project work
• Drafting and negotiating construction contracts and advising on security of payment
• Running or overseeing building and construction disputes
• Building a team and winning work from developers, builders and investors





What you'll bring:
• 8+ years' post-admission experience in property and construction law
• A portable practice or established client following that covers your remuneration (essential)
• Admission in Australia and an unrestricted NSW practising certificate
• A track record of business development and long-term client relationships
• The leadership ability to build and mentor a team
• An entrepreneurial approach and the ambition to grow your practice
