Lead with purpose. Grow with us. Make your mark underground.

Our client is one of Australia’s leading underground mining contractors, and the miners behind some of the country’s most complex operations. Their edge is their people. Their crews back each other, raise the bar and get the job done right. They keep their word with clients and with their own team. That means a workplace where you’re respected, supported and given room to grow, whoever you are.

This is a leadership role with real influence. You'll help shape the direction of a growing business, develop the next generation of leaders, build lasting client partnerships and help win new work, supported by some of the most experienced people in underground mining.

The Role

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join an underground leadership team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll share leadership of a large-scale underground operation with your counterpart on the opposite swing. Together you'll guide teams to deliver safely, on time, on budget and to a high standard.

What You'll Do

- Lead the safe and successful delivery of the project, working with your team to meet performance targets
- Manage the contract and commercial outcomes, identifying risks early and finding practical solutions
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, keeping operations aligned with their goals and the contract
- Ensure the operation meets all safety standards, legislation and company policies
- Keep track of budgets, forecasts and KPIs, and adjust plans when needed
- Plan people, equipment and resources so the operation runs at its best
- Coach and develop a large, diverse team, creating an environment where people feel supported, heard and accountable
- Help build a respectful, values-based culture where everyone takes pride in their work

What You'll Bring

- Years of experience in underground hard-rock mining, including senior leadership in a contractor setting
- Experience delivering large projects safely and successfully
- Commercial and contract management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and teams
- Preferred relevant statutory tickets like: WA Underground Supervisor, First Class Mine Manager's Certificate and S26
- Valid manual C class Australian driver's licence

Don't tick every box? We'd still love to hear from you. If you have strong underground leadership experience and you're keen to grow, please apply.
