Full Time | Nine-Day Fortnight | Bullsbrook
Perth's Outback Splash is looking for a practical, reliable Team Member who takes genuine pride in keeping things clean, tidy and looking their best.
This is a hands-on outdoor role focused primarily on park presentation, cleaning and grounds maintenance, with plenty of variety throughout the year.
You could be preparing cabanas and Guest areas before opening, pressure cleaning pathways, maintaining gardens and grounds, checking amenities throughout the day, helping with landscaping, or getting involved in one of our winter maintenance and improvement projects.
If you are someone who notices the little things, likes staying active and takes satisfaction in leaving an area looking better than you found it, this could be a great fit.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to our Aquatics & Parks Maintenance Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining the presentation, cleanliness and appearance of Perth's Outback Splash.
Your main focus will be ensuring our amenities, cabanas, pathways, pool surrounds, gardens and general Guest areas are maintained to a consistently high standard.
While presentation is the priority, this is also an all-rounder role. You will work closely with our Parks, Aquatics and Presentation Teams and assist with general park maintenance, landscaping, operational tasks and seasonal projects when required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the park, including amenities, cabanas, pathways, pool surrounds and Guest areas.
- Clean and maintain toilets, amenities and other high-traffic areas throughout the day.
- Clean and maintain sun lounges, deck chairs, tables, quickshades and cabanas.
- Carry out pressure cleaning and deeper cleaning tasks as required.
- Complete grounds work including sweeping, blowing, weeding, litter collection and general outdoor upkeep.
- Assist with gardens, landscaping, irrigation and maintaining tidy, attractive grounds.
- Proactively identify presentation issues such as spills, rubbish, dust,
cobwebs or areas needing attention.
- Operate cleaning equipment, blowers, pressure cleaners, buggies and other tools safely.
- Complete routine presentation checks and respond promptly when issues are identified.
- Assist with minor maintenance, repairs and park improvement projects.
- Support park opening and closing routines to ensure areas are ready for Guests.
- Participate in winter maintenance, deep cleaning and seasonal improvement projects.
- Work collaboratively across the wider Park, Aquatics and Presentation Teams.
The expectation is simple: notice what needs attention, take ownership and leave the park looking better than you found it.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is practical, dependable and takes pride in a job well done.
You may come from commercial cleaning, grounds maintenance, landscaping, hospitality, facilities or another practical, hands-on background.
Ideally, you will bring:
- experience in cleaning, grounds maintenance, landscaping, facility presentation or a similar practical role
- a strong eye for detail
- pride in maintaining clean and well-presented spaces
- the initiative to identify jobs that need doing without always being directed
- good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
- the ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider Team
- a reliable and hardworking approach
- confidence working outdoors and completing physically active tasks
- the ability to safely use cleaning equipment, tools and machinery, or a willingness to learn
- good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner around Guests
- flexibility to help with other park and operational tasks when required.
Experience with pressure cleaning, commercial cleaning equipment, gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance would be an advantage, but we are equally interested in finding someone with the right attitude and work ethic.
Most importantly, we want someone who sees a job that needs doing and gets on with it.
HOURS AND ROSTER
This is a full-time position operating on a nine-day fortnight.
The roster primarily includes weekdays, with rotating weekend and public holiday responsibilities, particularly during Perth's Outback Splash's summer operating season.
As a seasonal waterpark, the type of work changes throughout the year. Summer is focused heavily on daily park presentation and Guest areas, while winter provides more prospect for deep cleaning, landscaping, maintenance and improvement projects.
Some flexibility is required during peak periods and major projects, but the nine-day fortnight forms part of the normal working arrangement.
WORKING AT OUTBACK SPLASH
Perth's Outback Splash is a family-owned and operated attraction located in Bullsbrook.
Our Presentation & Parks Team plays a major role in the Guest experience.
Guests might not notice every individual job that has been completed, but they absolutely notice when a park is clean, tidy and well cared for.
From the condition of our amenities and cabanas to our gardens, pathways and pool surrounds, this role helps set the standard for how the entire park looks and feels.
Our Culture is built around five simple principles:
SAFE - We choose the safe option, every time.
FAMILY - We care for people and treat them with respect.
FUN - We bring positive energy and create memorable experiences.
INTEGRITY - We do the right thing and take ownership.
CHANGE - We grow by learning, improving and adapting.
SOUND LIKE YOU?
If you enjoy practical work, like being outdoors and take genuine pride in keeping things looking their best, we would love to hear from you.
Help us keep Perth's Outback Splash looking its best, every day.
