The position

Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, you will sit on the Executive Leadership Team with responsibility for operational performance across the Australian business and a genuine mandate to influence how the organisation operates and grows.

A central priority will be strengthening the operational foundations that support continued expansion. This will involve improving systems and processes, driving accountability, delivering cross-functional projects and positioning the business to successfully execute acquisitions and integrate new operations without compromising performance or the client experience. You will also collaborate with international colleagues on initiatives spanning the wider group.

You will lead through three experienced managers, providing direction, accountability and support while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and service delivery.

You will also strengthen operational governance, risk management and performance reporting, ensuring the business maintains effective controls and accountability as it grows, while delivering key initiatives through to measurable outcomes.

You will be joining a leadership group that is ambitious, open to new ideas and willing to invest in meaningful improvements. There is genuine scope to challenge existing approaches and introduce better ways of working.

This is a role that combines hands-on operational leadership with broader strategic influence.

About you

We are interested in speaking with commercially minded operational leaders from the financial advice and wealth management sector who have experience managing people, improving business performance and delivering meaningful organisational change.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Demonstrated experience leading operational teams, improving business performance and delivering change.

- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution.

- Experience improving systems, processes and operating models to support business growth.

- The ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and build accountability across teams.

- An interest in technology, automation and the opportunities they create to improve operational performance.

- Strong people leadership skills and a collaborative, pragmatic approach.

You will have experience working within financial advice or wealth management, with an understanding of the operational, regulatory and client service requirements of the sector.

You will also need to hold, or have the experience and qualifications to become eligible for, a Responsible Manager appointment under an Australian Financial Services Licence.

Above all, you will be a commercially minded leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving businesses and taking ownership of outcomes.

The opportunity

With executive-level influence, ambitious expansion plans and a genuine pathway to equity, this opportunity offers considerable scope to shape an established international wealth management business and share in its future success.
