The Opportunity
Our Client, a well-established and highly regarded Sydney law firm, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join its growing practice, offering genuine long-term career progression and potential equity participation.

This opportunity would suit an ambitious Senior Associate (8+ years PAE) seeking a pathway to partnership, or an established Special Counsel, Principal or Partner looking to grow their practice within a supportive and established firm.

For senior practitioners with an existing client following, this is an attractive opportunity to focus on practising law and developing client relationships without the administrative burden and overheads of running their own firm.

The Role
You will advise privately owned businesses, family enterprises, entrepreneurs and private clients across a broad range of commercial matters, including:

- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements
- Business and company acquisitions and disposals
- Corporate structures, shareholder agreements, trusts and joint ventures
- Commercial property transactions and leasing
- General business and commercial advisory matters
- Business succession planning and asset protection
- Wills, estates and probate matters (where experienced)

You will enjoy autonomy, direct client relationships and the opportunity to contribute to the firm's continued growth.

About You





- Minimum 8 years' PAE in commercial law
- Strong experience in commercial contracts, business transactions and general advisory work
- Experience advising SMEs, privately owned businesses and family enterprises
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and client relationship skills
- Commercially minded, proactive and confident managing matters independently
- Experience in trusts, succession planning or wills and estates will be highly regarded

An existing client following is welcomed but not essential.
