Tuckshop and Uniform Convenor will be responsible for providing a balanced range of nutritious food at a reasonable cost to students and staff within the school on time, whilst maintaining a high standard of hygiene in the preparation, presentation and serving of food. Additionally, they will be responsible for coordinating the daily administration of the school tuckshop and uniform shop, supervising tuckshop staff (including volunteers) and providing quality customer service to students, clients and staff through professional, timely and cost-effective tuckshop services.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare foods for delivery to students, teachers, and/or parents through bulk in office meal preparation in combination with store-bought products
- Manage the Tuckshop under their control in accordance with the policies and standards as determined by the P&C; Association
- Plan for and maintain high standards of management and maintenance of the equipment & Tuckshop at all times
- Ensure proper food handling, receiving and storage procedures are followed by all staff and volunteers
- Maintain adequate stock levels
- Order goods from suppliers approved by Kallangur State School P&C; Association
- Oversee all deliveries and manage accountability for quantities and quality of goods received
- Manage required staff as well as volunteers and visitors of the tuckshop
- Ensure the Tuckshop is in an orderly, clean and safe condition
- Follow all cash handling and finance procedures as directed by the P&C; or their delegate
