Electrical Apprenticeship

What you’ll do -

Whilst studying an Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician over 48 months, you’ll have the opportunity to work on:

- Installing and maintaining lighting, power outlets and electrical systems.
- Assisting with the installation of sensors, electric motors, drives and PLC systems.
- Performing preventative electrical maintenance and routine inspections.
- Supporting qualified tradespeople with electrical breakdowns, fault finding and repairs.
- Working with sophisticated industrial equipment and automated systems.
- Assisting with industrial wiring, electrical installations and control systems.
- Learning to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and electrical safety standards.

- Carry out other duties that are within the limits of trainee skills, competence and ability as required.

What we’re looking for -

- A genuine interest in electrical work, technology and automation.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good mathematical skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in understanding how equipment works.
- Previous exposure to electrical projects, robotics, electronics kits or pre-apprenticeship training (highly regarded).
- Confidence using hand tools and a willingness to develop practical skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A solid commitment to workplace health and safety.

- A willingness to undertake both practical and theoretical training.

Must haves -

- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical including, audio testing, spirometry and a functional capacity assessment.
