About the role

Flowcrete Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Welder / Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our team in Mount Kuring-Gai, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our manufacturing and fabrication operations. Flowcrete Group Pty Ltd is an established supplier and manufacturer of concrete boom, line and trailer pumps to the concrete pumping industry.

As a skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welded and fabricated components that meet strict industry standards. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence and ensuring the successful delivery of projects to our valued clients. You will work on-site at our Mount Kuring-Gai facility, collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals committed to craftsmanship and precision.

What you'll be doing

- Welding and joining metal components using various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication

- Performing boiler making tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal plates and sections

- Operating fabrication equipment such as cutting machines, press brakes, and hydraulic shears safely and efficiently

- Conducting quality inspections and testing of welded joints to ensure compliance with Australian and relevant industry standards

- Preparing materials and work areas to optimise productivity and maintain a safe working environment

- Collaborating with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects on schedule

- Maintaining detailed records of work completed and materials used





- Adhering to all health and safety procedures and workplace policies

- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and sharing knowledge with junior team members

What we're looking for

- Current Australian welding certification (AS/NZS 1554) or equivalent recognised qualification demonstrating competency in multiple welding processes

- Proven experience as a welder, boilermaker, or fabricator, ideally within manufacturing or heavy industries

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints

- Strong understanding of welding safety standards and best practices, including personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements

- Competency with a range of welding equipment and fabrication machinery

- Ability to work to tight tolerances and maintain high-quality standards consistently

- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks in a workshop environment

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Reliable, punctual, and committed to continuous professional development

- Preferred: Experience with stainless steel and aluminium welding, knowledge of pressure equipment standards, or qualifications in boiler making
