Optus

Macquarie Park

Every day, millions of Australians connect, work, stream, and stay in touch on the Optus network. When it works seamlessly, it's easy to take for granted. But behind it is a team making thousands of decisions every day - decisions that keep people, businesses and communities connected.

Right now, Optus is focused on getting the fundamentals right - simplifying how we work, lifting standards, and building a more reliable, resilient experience for our customers.

It's not about surface-level change. It's about how we make decisions, how we work together, and how we deliver.

As the Executive Assistant to Executive Committee (ExCo) members at Optus, including the Chief Audit Officer and Chief Customer Advocate, you will be a trusted partner to senior leadership, providing high-level executive support and enabling the effective operation of their portfolios. This role is ideal for a proactive, highly organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting, anticipates needs, manages competing priorities with discretion, and plays a key role in fostering collaboration, connection, and culture across the leadership team. You will support complex stakeholder engagement, coordinate strategic business activities, manage executive priorities, and help drive alignment across teams while ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of both executive offices.

The Day to Day

- Manage complex executive diaries and priorities, ensuring seamless scheduling, proactive stakeholder management, and effective coordination of meetings across multiple time zones and locations.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel, expenses, and logistics, delivering accurate itineraries, timely approvals, and efficient expense management while maintaining compliance and attention to detail.
- Provide high-level administrative and operational support, including preparing professional presentations, reports, meeting materials, minutes,

organisational documentation, and maintaining confidential records.
- Enable leadership team effectiveness and business unit engagement, fostering collaboration across stakeholders, supporting key events and communications, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Executive Committee member's office.

What You Bring

- Exceptional organisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships, and support senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a proven ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, maintain confidentiality, and navigate changing priorities with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong technical capability, including advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook), with the ability to produce high-quality documents and presentations under tight timeframes.
- A collaborative and customer-focused approach, bringing a positive attitude, attention to detail, accountability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support while fostering strong team culture and engagement.

The good stuff

- Competitive remuneration and colleague discounts. Make life easier (and more affordable) with $80 monthly credit and 25% off Optus products and outstanding shopping discounts with our retail partners.
- Flexible working arrangements with opportunities to work three days in the office, two days remote or home.
- Vibrant and collaborative office campus that includes cafes, convenience store,

chill out zones, GP, post office, gym, and on-site childcare centre.
- Competitive leave policies, including additional 'Connected' days to focus on culture, family, health, community, or whatever's important to you.
- We support growing families with inclusive, carer-neutral paid Parental Leave of up to 16 weeks.
- Build meaningful connections through colleague-led networks and diversity initiatives including Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network, and Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+).
- Put your wellbeing first with free access to counselling and support services, 24/7 — in-person, by phone, SMS, or video.
- Free Optus bus from Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoon. Join us for an outstanding career opportunity!

Not every box ticked? Apply anyway. We believe the right mindset matter more than a perfect CV. We'll back you to grow from there.
