Chandler Personnel is partnering with a growing renewable energy company seeking an experienced A-Grade Electrician specialising in commercial solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking to take the next step in their career, working on large-scale commercial and industrial (C&I;) renewable energy projects across Victoria.

Our client is looking for someone who brings genuine hands-on commercial solar experience, solid technical knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality electrical installations.

About the Role

Working alongside experienced project managers, engineers and installation teams, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of commercial solar PV and battery energy storage systems.

Projects primarily involve large-scale rooftop installations across commercial and industrial facilities throughout Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, commission and maintain commercial solar PV systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

- Carry out electrical installations on commercial and industrial rooftops.

- Install and connect solar inverters, switchboards, AC/DC cabling and associated electrical equipment.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults within solar and battery systems.

- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.

- Ensure all installations comply with relevant Australian Standards and electrical safety regulations.

- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers and other trades to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

- Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship and quality.

About You





We are looking for a qualified electrician with proven experience in commercial solar installations who can confidently work independently and contribute to a professional installation team.

Essential Requirements:

- Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence.

- Demonstrated experience installing commercial solar PV systems.

- Current Working at Heights certification.

- Construction White Card.

- Valid driver's licence.

- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.

- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent understanding of electrical safety requirements and Australian Standards.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Highly Regarded:

- Experience with commercial battery energy storage systems (BESS).

- Solar and battery accreditation through Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA).

- Experience commissioning solar inverters and battery systems.

- Previous experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial solar projects.
