As the first point of contact for patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. This role will primarily provide relief coverage for annual leave, sick leave and other staff absences.
Key responsibilities
Welcoming and assisting patients in a friendly, professional and compassionate manner
Managing patient appointments, including bookings, rescheduling and confirmations
Handling incoming telephone calls, emails and patient enquiries
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
Processing general administrative tasks, including filing, correspondence and ordering supplies
Liaising with doctors and other healthcare specialists to support the efficient running of the practice
Maintaining strict patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
About you
Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist, preferably within a specialist medical practice
Experience using Clinic to Cloud practice management software (highly regarded)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Robust organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy workplace
High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A solid understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy requirements
Flexibility and availability to provide casual relief coverage when required
