Support Worker Wanted

CareNserve is looking for support workers for a participant living in Pelican Waters, Sunshine Coast.

A 58-year-old man is seeking a reliable, kind and LGBTQ-friendly support worker for 6 days a week, including weekends, for 6–7 hours per day.

The ideal worker is patient, respectful, dependable and comfortable providing support in an inclusive, affirming way. A younger worker is preferred, ideally under 30.

Support Worker Requirements

The ideal support worker will:
Be reliable and punctual
Be kind, patient, respectful and a valuable listener.
Be LGBTQ+ friendly and provide inclusive, non-judgmental support.
Respect privacy, personal boundaries and the person’s independence.
Communicate clearly and follow instructions.




Have relevant support work experience or a willingness to learn.
Hold any required checks, training or qualifications for the role.
Be comfortable working with the support needs and tasks involved; these can be discussed with applicants.

Required Checks
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current National Police Check
First Aid and CPR certificates
Right to work in Australia
Two recent work referees
