About us

Tomas Built has been transforming homes across the North Shore and Northern Beaches for the past 2 years. We specialise in high-end bathrooms, laundries and ensuites, and we take pride in finishes that make clients want to show off their new space. Business is growing fast, and we're looking for a Lead Tiler to set the standard on site.

The role

You'll be the go-to tiling expert on our jobs, owning the finish from set-out to final grout. You'll work closely with our plumbers, waterproofers and project managers so every job runs smoothly and comes in on time. We're open to a full-time employee or a contractor on an ABN, whichever suits you best.

What you'll be doing
Setting out and laying wall and floor tiles to a premium finish, including large-format, mosaics, feature walls and niches
Screeding, falls to waste and working with linear drains
Reading plans and planning tile layouts to keep cuts minimal and symmetry spot-on
Liaising with clients on site in a friendly, skilled way
Keeping sites clean, protected and running to schedule

What you'll bring

Trade qualification in wall and floor tiling (or equivalent experience)
2+ years' experience, ideally in residential bathroom renovations
A perfectionist eye for detail. Your lines are straight and your corners are clean.
The confidence to run a job on your own and keep it moving
White Card, current driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle
ABN and relevant insurances if contracting
Waterproofing licence/experience is a big bonus

What's in it for you
Competitive rates for full time (plus super) or contract, depending on experience
Steady work Monday to Friday. No weekends unless you want them.
Fuel card
Local jobs across the North Shore and Northern Beaches
A supportive, no-drama team that values quality over cutting corners
Room to grow into a site supervisor role as we expand

Ready to lead?

Hit Apply with your resume and a few photos of your best work. Let us know whether you're after full-time or contract. We'd love to see what you can do.
