Java Solution Architect | Contract 8 month | Federal Government Client

Location: Brisbane, QLD

Seers Digital is seeking a Full Time Java Solution Architect to support a federal government client based in Brisbane North .

What you’ll do
Lead application modernisation and framework upgrade initiatives.
Define technical architecture, design standards, and target technology platforms.
Provide hands-on leadership across design, development, testing, and deployment.
Drive code quality, governance, and release management activities.
Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices.
Lead platform upgrades and integration design using RESTful services.
Collaborate with stakeholders on technical roadmaps and delivery strategies.
Support CI/CD, deployment automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify prospects to streamline and automate code migration processes.

What you’ll bring
10 + years of Java development experience
Experience with: Spring Core, Spring Security, Spring MVC, Spring Web Flow and Hibernate
Experience performing framework and platform upgrades
Understand of: OpenRewrite, REST API, integration, Maven and/or Gradle, Apache Tomcat, JSP technologies,



software architecture and design patterns
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and release automation practices
Ability to lead development team and provide technical mentorship
Robust stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills
